The Best Solutions for Live Cell Imaging

MATRIX Detector

MATRIX Detector consists of multiple avalanche photodiodes (APDs) with an extraordinarily high quantum efficiency (over 50 % at 500 nm) in a hexagonal arrangement on a single detector chip.
Due to the extraordinary design, the MATRIX Detector provides 100% physical super-resolution and reduces the background noise while obtaining the live cell images. Because of the clear background, the following analysis and post-processing such as particle counting, size estimation, intensity measurement, smoothing, or deconvolution will also be greatly improved in the future.

     The Advantages of MATRIX Detector:

  • Effective background reduction without artifact-prone mathematical estimation algorithms

  • Highly improved optical sectioning

  • Enables precise analysis of your image data

MATRIX Detector

The traditional detector detects the focal plane signal and the background signal. Yet, even the deconvolution is used in post-processing, the background noise cannot be eliminated entirely.

MATRIX Detector can detect the focal plane and background signals separately, so it can directly eliminate background noise during imaging so that the focal plane signal is preserved completely.

RAINBOW Detection

The RAINBOW Detection compares high transmission and quantum efficiency with optimal wavelength discrimination. Finally, you can benefit from maximum signal and full spectral flexibility with no more compromises. The superior detection efficiency of APDs compared to any other photon detector, including PMTs and hybrid detectors, guarantees that you collect as many precious fluorescence photons from your sample as possible.

 The Advantages of RAINBOW Detection:

  • Gap-free spectral detection

  • Choose any wavelength band between 400 and 800 nm

  • APDs for the highest sensitivity (up to 65% quantum efficiency)

  • Free selection of excitation and STED wavelength combinations

Autofocus

The Autofocus actively stabilizes the z-position of your sample and guarantees confocal and STED imaging over days without focus drift. Unlike other solutions, the Abberior Autofocus works concomitantly with all STED beams and does not require interrupting your scan to search for the focus. It is faster, more precise, and indispensable for live-cell imaging.

      The Advantages of Autofocus:

  • Continuous focus lock for confocal and STED imaging

  • Works with all STED beams, no need to interrupt the scan

  • Works for all scan modes (xy, xz, xyz, …)

The Abberior Autofocus device allows you to stabilize your sample's Z position actively. No focus drift during imaging anymore.

Different imaging modes possible – XY plane and Z constant (A); XZ plane over time (B), XYZ stack with Z constant in each Z section (C).

TIMEBOW

Abberior is all about breaking barriers. With TIMEBOW, we have once again succeeded. TIMEBOW is a reliable method for measuring fluorescence lifetime with and without super resolution. In combination with our highly sensitive APDs and the groundbreaking MATRIX detector, you get the best out of every aspect of the signal – as easy as 1-2-3! With TIMEBOW, your research shines in perfect color.

 The Advantages of TIMEBOW:

  • Turn temporal dynamics into color-coded lifetime images.

  • Super-resolved four-color images with only one STED laser.

  • Boost confocal and STED resolution

  • With MATRIX: Higher signal-to-background ratio, better resolution and impressive dynamic range – Only available from Abberior.
